Palladium Equity finances Hispanic food distributor Quirch Foods

Palladium Equity Partners LLC, through an affiliated private equity fund, provided significant investment to U.S. protein and Hispanic food products company Quirch Foods Co.

The New York-based middle-market investment firm made the investment in partnership with the owners and management of Quirch, which will use the capital to broaden its product offerings and markets, as well as make acquisitions in the food distribution industry.

Palladium also raised about $1.52 billion for Palladium Equity Partners V LP, which had an initial target of $1.50 billion. A total of 77 investors are already committed to the fund, which has an increased target of $1.75 billion.

Harris Williams was financial adviser to Quirch on the transaction, while Holland & Knight was its legal counsel. BB&T Capital Markets and RBC Capital Markets acted as financial advisers to Palladium, and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett was its legal counsel.
