Unigold Inc. said May 22 that the Ministry of Energy and Mines of the Dominican Republic granted the company the Neita Fase II exploration concession, covering about 21,031 hectares.
The concession is valid for an initial three-year period, with a possibility of two additional one-year extensions. The Neita Fase II concession hosts gold and copper surface geochemical anomalies, most of which have not been extensively explored.
The company now anticipates to resume exploration of the Neita gold concession to follow up on the Candelones Extension results from its 2016 drill program.
