Banca Generali completes purchase of Switzerland's Valeur Fiduciaria

Italy-based Banca Generali SpA completed its acquisition of a 90.1% stake in Swiss asset manager Valeur Fiduciaria SA for an undisclosed sum.

The deal, which was announced in December 2018, is part of the Generali unit's strategy to grow internationally and increase the range of services it offers.

The remaining 9.9% stake in Valeur Fiduciaria will be retained by the company's shareholders, who will also form part of its new governance structure.

5Lex and KPMG served as legal and financial advisers, respectively, to Banca Generali, while Lugano and Gentili & Partners served as legal advisers to Valeur Fiduciaria.
