Collerina Cobalt Ltd. on May 30 said it has started a 2,700-meter reverse circulation drill program at the company's namesake Collerina cobalt-nickel project in New South Wales, Australia.
The 45-hole program aims to improve the cobalt-nickel resource, identify areas of high-grade cobalt and delineate a potentially high-grade aluminum resource.
Thirty-nine holes will target the Homeville prospect area to confirm continuity of the high-cobalt zones intersected by previous drilling and to test for additional high-grade cobalt mineralization.
Upon completion, the company will progress the Collerina project scoping study with a particular focus on the recovery of cobalt, nickel and aluminum to produce a high-purity alumina product.
