Explaurum Ltd. on Jan. 19 said it more than doubled the known mineralized area at the Tampia gold project in Western Australia after completing 20 reverse circulation holes totaling 4,579 meters under the company's exploration drilling program.
Seven holes intersected new zones of gold mineralization, including 3 meters at 4.60 g/t of gold from 62 meters, 7 meters at 4.18 g/t of gold from 42 meters and 5 meters at 3.39 g/t of gold from 77 meters.
The program confirmed lateral continuity of gold mineralization between previously interpreted discrete northern, central and southern zones.
Further exploration drilling will be conducted once new soil and gravity data have been collected by February, the company noted.
