Can Do Co. fiscal Q1 profit falls YOY

Can Do Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended Feb. 28 amounted to ¥19.18 per share, a decrease of 23.9% from ¥25.20 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥311.3 million, a decline of 24.0% from ¥409.4 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin dropped to 1.9% from 2.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue totaled ¥15.99 billion, compared with ¥15.89 billion in the prior-year period, and total operating expenses rose year over year to ¥15.53 billion from ¥15.28 billion.

Reported net income declined 27.5% year over year to ¥227.0 million, or ¥13.99 per share, from ¥313.3 million, or ¥19.28 per share.
