Mandom Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to ¥22.05 per share, a decline of 14.2% from ¥25.71 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥1.03 billion, a decline of 14.2% from ¥1.20 billion in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to 6.4% from 7.6% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew on an annual basis to ¥16.09 billion from ¥15.78 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 5.7% on an annual basis to ¥14.30 billion from ¥13.54 billion.
Reported net income fell 18.6% from the prior-year period to ¥1.12 billion, or ¥24.00 per share, from ¥1.38 billion, or ¥29.49 per share.
As of Feb. 6, US$1 was equivalent to ¥119.01.
