RCI Hospitality Holdings Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended March 31 was 38 cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 34 cents per share.
EPS climbed 5.8% year over year from 36 cents.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $3.7 million, compared with $3.7 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 10.7% from 10.6% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue totaled $34.5 million, compared with $34.4 million in the year-earlier period, and total operating expenses totaled $26.8 million, compared with $26.9 million in the year-earlier period.
Reported net income fell 31.8% on an annual basis to $3.8 million, or 39 cents per share, from $5.6 million, or 54 cents per share.
