McCarthy & Stone fiscal H1 profit climbs 84.5% YOY

McCarthy & Stone PLC said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Feb. 28 was £18.3 million, a gain of 84.5% from £9.9 million in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

Total revenue climbed 25.9% on an annual basis to £188.5 million from £149.7 million, and total operating expenses grew 20.8% year over year to £154.3 million from £127.7 million.

Reported net income totaled £22.0 million, compared with £12.0 million in the year-earlier period.
