Axis Bank Ltd. appointed Rajiv Anand as executive director of wholesale banking, effective Dec. 21.

Anand was previously executive director for retail banking, a role he had held since August 2016. The Indian lender noted that succession planning for the retail banking segment is underway.

The appointment of Anand follows the retirement of V. Srinivasan as deputy managing director as of Dec. 20.
