Report: ESPN buys more fights from UFC

ESPN Inc. agreed to buy more fights from mixed martial arts organization UFC, Variety reported May 22, citing sources familiar with the talks.

ESPN reached an agreement to secure a second part of the package currently held by 21st Century Fox Inc.'s Fox Sports that increased the total cost to about $300 million per year for a period of five years, totaling $1.5 billion. The new deals cover 30 fights per year.

The fights will be available on ESPN (US) and ESPN+ streaming service. According to the report, ESPN's deal for UFC content in April was worth $750 million.
