Australia-based Challenger raises final dividend

Australia-based Challenger Ltd. raised its final dividend for the fiscal year ended June 30.

The investment manager declared a final dividend of 18.0 Australian cents per share, up from the prior fiscal year's final dividend of 17.5 cents per share.

Together with an interim dividend of 17.5 cents per share, the company's total dividend for the year came to 35.5 cents per share, up from the previous year's total dividend of 34.5 cents per share.

The final dividend will be paid Sept. 26 to shareholders on record as of Sept. 3.
