Myanmar to fully open to foreign insurers in new fiscal year

Foreign insurers will be allowed to conduct business in Myanmar starting Oct. 1, Asia Insurance Review reported.

Myanmar currently does not allow foreign insurers to do business. However, three foreign insurers have been allowed to conduct business in the Thilawa Special Economic Zone, while many others have launched representative offices in the country.
