JD.com teams up with Australian retailer AuMake

Specialty retailer AuMake International Ltd. has agreed to become JD Worldwide's exclusive strategic retail store partner in Australia and New Zealand.

Under the partnership, JD.com Inc.'s cross-border division will combine its online and logistics capability in China with AuMake's local store network and brand building experience.

The two companies will create a seamless channel for Australian and New Zealand products to reach consumers in China. They will also incubate and develop brands, helping local vendors promote their products to a Chinese market.

The partnership comes after JD.com opened a regional headquarters in Melbourne to provide Australian and New Zealand retailers access to its base of Chinese consumers.
