Food chain operators Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd. and Golden Harvest QSR Ltd., owned by diversified conglomerate Golden Harvest Group, agreed to form a joint venture to roll out Domino's Pizza Inc. restaurants in Bangladesh, the Indian company said in a March 6 release.
The new corporate entity, to be named Jubilant Golden Harvest Ltd., will be 51% owned by Jubilant FoodWorks, while the Bangladeshi subsidiary will own 49% of the joint venture.
Jubilant FoodWorks controls franchising operations for the Michigan-based pizza chain in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal, as well as for the Dunkin' Brands Group Inc.-owned Dunkin' Donuts in India.
