Netflix Inc. said Nov. 12 that it hired Anne Mensah as vice president of content to lead the scripted series content team focused on British productions.
Mensah joins the streaming giant from Sky PLC, where she most recently was head of drama. She will remain with the European pay TV giant in a consultancy role for a "period of time" before joining Netflix in 2019, TBI Vision reported, citing an internal memo from Gary Davey, Sky's managing director of content.
Cameron Roach will succeed Mensah as acting head of drama, according to the memo.
Reports earlier this year said Netflix planned to invest about $1 billion on European content.
