New charter, new name for North Dakota bank in new year

The North Dakota Department of Financial Institutions approved the application of First National Bank & Trust Co. of Williston to become a state-chartered bank instead of a national-chartered institution and to change its name to First State Bank & Trust, effective Jan. 1, 2020.

The bank ownership and operation will remain under Jorgenson Williston Holding Co., with the same staff and board.
