Landsec and Ebbsfleet Property LLP sold a 125-hectare site in Kent, U.K., to British government-owned Ebbsfleet Development Corp. for £34 million, Kent Online reported.
The site, near Ebbsfleet International railway station, will serve as the central hub of Ebbsfleet Garden City.
Ebbsfleet Central will include commercial space, leisure facilities and green space, and it will make a "big contribution" to delivering 15,000 new homes for families within the garden city, at least 30% of which will be affordable.
Project leaders expect development to be delivered by 2035 at the earliest, the report said.
