Deere to take over Brazilian parts distributor for sugarcane harvesters

Deere & Co. agreed to acquire Unimil, a Brazilian provider of aftermarket service parts for sugarcane harvesters, to widen its cost-effective solutions' portfolio.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The transaction will undergo a regulatory review, the company said.

Unimil, which was founded in 1999 and has approximately 430 employees, will retain its brand name and direct-to-consumer business model, Deere said.
