Colony Bankcorp CFO to retire; successor named

Colony Bankcorp Inc. and Colony Bank Executive Vice President, CFO and Treasurer Terry Hester is set to retire Dec. 31.

The company named Tracie Youngblood to succeed Hester. Youngblood, who will join the company and the bank in mid-June, was most recently senior vice president and controller of Fidelity Bank.

Hester, 64, plans to remain on the company's board, subject to customary annual approval by shareholders.

Colony also said that Lee Northcutt, executive vice president and regional executive officer for the east division, left the company, effective immediately.

The company is expected to combine the roles and responsibilities of its regional executives under Executive Vice President and Regional Executive Officer for the west division M. Eddie Hoyle to create the new position of chief banking officer.

The company also promoted Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer Edward Bagwell to executive vice president, chief risk officer and general counsel.

It promoted J. Stan Cook to executive vice president and chief credit officer. Cook will no longer be COO, as the position is being eliminated.
