Arqaam to close Johannesburg business, end South Africa research

Dubai-based investment bank Arqaam Capital Ltd. will close its South African office, Bloomberg News reported.

Arqaam opted to cease research coverage in the country, according to the report, and will instead focus on its core markets in the Middle East and North Africa.

The company has about 17 employees in Johannesburg, Bloomberg said.
