XL Catlin shuffles management in EMEA, Asia-Pacific, Latin America businesses

XL Catlin expanded the responsibilities of David Watson, CEO of EMEA and international casualty, to the Asia-Pacific and Latin America regions.

He takes on the new title of CEO of international reinsurance.

The company also named Peter Schmidt CEO of Middle East and Africa, Asia-Pacific and Latin America, as well as chief underwriting officer for credit and surety.

Bertrand Romagne will head as CEO of Europe and chief underwriting officer for property and casualty.

Additionally, the company tapped Tom Harris head of pricing and analytics for the international region.

Shamoon Hussain will become head of international claims. In his role, Hussain will oversee technical claims and claims processing in Asia-Pacific and Latin America, in addition to his existing responsibilities in London and EMEA.

Patrizia Baur will lead the operations team, including the chief of staff function.

XL Catlin is the global brand used by XL Group Ltd.'s insurance and reinsurance companies.
