Happinet fiscal Q3 profit climbs 13.1% YOY

Happinet Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to ¥75.72 per share, a gain of 13.9% from ¥66.47 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥1.75 billion, a gain of 13.1% from ¥1.55 billion in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 2.2% from 2.0% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose on an annual basis to ¥80.89 billion from ¥78.09 billion, and total operating expenses rose on an annual basis to ¥78.10 billion from ¥75.62 billion.

Reported net income increased 74.7% on an annual basis to ¥2.18 billion, or ¥94.06 per share, from ¥1.25 billion, or ¥53.45 per share.
