Gabriel Martino will leave his post as CEO of HSBC Argentina Holdings SA and is expected to move to HSBC Holdings PLC's headquarters in London, El Cronista reported.
Martino has headed the bank in Argentina for eight years and is currently vice president of Argentina's Banking Association.
The head of commercial banking for Mexico at HSBC, Juan Marotta, was reportedly chosen to take on Martino's current role, although the information was not officially confirmed by the institution, the newspaper noted.
