GPB Capital exec pleads not guilty to charges over accessing SEC probe material

GPB Capital Holdings LLC Chief Compliance Officer Michael Cohn pleaded not guilty to charges about accessing confidential information regarding a probe into the private equity firm while working as an examiner for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing Cohn's lawyer.

Cohn, who left the SEC to join GPB in October 2018, recently appeared at a court to face the charges by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York.

The publication could not get a comment on the matter from GPB.
