UniCredit Bank Austria AG and private banking unit Schoellerbank AG named Robert Karas chief investment officer, replacing Heinz Mayer, who is leaving at his own request.
Karas, who has been working at Schoellerbank since 2007, serves as head of Schoellerbank Asset Management and will continue in that role in addition to his new one at UniCredit Bank Austria, according to the March 2 press release.
Schoellerbank's supervisory board also named Helmut Siegler to its management board, replacing Mayer. Siegler will continue to serve as head of investment strategy, products and advisory at UniCredit Bank Austria, alongside his new management board member role, where he will be responsible for services related to asset and estate succession planning, financial planning and foundations.
UniCredit Bank Austria and Schoellerbank are subsidiaries of UniCredit SpA.
