Kachikaihatsu Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to ¥2.51 per share, an increase of 57.6% from ¥1.60 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥33.8 million, an increase of 54.3% from ¥21.9 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 2.3% from 1.5% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose year over year to ¥1.47 billion from ¥1.44 billion, and total operating expenses totaled ¥1.38 billion, compared with ¥1.38 billion in the prior-year period.
Reported net income decreased 43.5% year over year to ¥45.6 million, or ¥3.38 per share, from ¥80.8 million, or ¥5.89 per share.
As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.68.
