China Merchants Securities gets approval to issue up to 7B yuan of bonds

China Merchants Securities Co. Ltd. obtained regulatory approval to issue up to 7 billion yuan worth of short-term bonds.

The approval from the central People's Bank of China took effect May 28, the company said in a May 30 filing.

As of May 30, US$1 was equivalent to 6.42 Chinese yuan.
