Harte Gold secures commercial permit to advance Sugar Zone property

Harte Gold Corp. said Jan. 24 that it was issued a phase-one commercial permit for its Sugar Zone property in Ontario.

The permit will allow continued mining at the Sugar Zone deposit of 30,000 additional tonnes and accelerate underground development to prepare for full-scale commercial operations slated to begin in the first quarter of 2018.

The company engaged Halyard Inc. to design and build an on-site mill to process ore at a rate of 525 tonnes per day, to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2018.

Additionally, a drilling contract was signed for a minimum of 10,000 meters with Foraco International SA, which will mobilize three drill rigs to site in February, and a total of five rigs are expected to be working by March.

A large-scale regional exploration program will begin late-February covering the entire Harte Gold land package to generate new high-priority exploration targets.

Harte Gold also started discussions with the Pic Mobert First Nation and intends to conclude an impact benefit agreement by the second quarter.
