BSL Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to 1.08 Indian rupees per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 2.00 rupees per share.
EPS rose 10.2% year over year from 98 paise.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 11.1 million rupees, a gain of 10.6% from 10.1 million rupees in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 1.1% from 1.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue totaled 994.6 million rupees, compared with 999.9 million rupees in the year-earlier period, and total operating expenses totaled 943.1 million rupees, compared with 948.5 million rupees in the prior-year period.
Reported net income increased on an annual basis to 25.5 million rupees, or 2.48 rupees per share, from 12.3 million rupees, or 1.20 rupees per share.
As of Feb. 10, US$1 was equivalent to 62.38 Indian rupees.
