Pattern Energy completes sale of 50% stake in 182-MW Texas wind facility

A Pattern Energy Group Inc. affiliate has completed the sale of a 50% stake in the roughly 182-MW Pattern Panhandle II wind farm in Texas to Vertuous Energy LLC.

Under the deal, the Public Sector Pension Investment Board affiliate paid $58.6 million to acquire a 98% membership interest in a newly formed limited liability company that holds 50% of the class B membership interests in the the Carson County-based facility, according to a Dec. 28 Form 8-K filing. The transaction was completed Dec. 22.

Following completion of the deal, Pattern Energy owns approximately 75 MW of capacity in Pattern Panhandle II.
