Cambuci SA said its second-quarter normalized net income was a loss of 1.25 reais per share, compared with a loss of 13 centavos per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of 4.8 million reais, compared with a loss of 489,750 reais in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to negative 6.0% from negative 0.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew 11.5% year over year to 80.1 million reais from 71.8 million reais, and total operating expenses climbed 18.3% on an annual basis to 76.2 million reais from 64.4 million reais.
Reported net income totaled a loss of 9.6 million reais, or a loss of 2.49 reais per share, compared to a loss of 868,000 reais, or a loss of 23 centavos per share, in the year-earlier period.
As of Aug. 18, US$1 was equivalent to 3.47 reais.
