Boeing Co. announced more than $900 million in services orders from airline companies in the Asia-Pacific region during the first day of the Singapore Airshow.
The orders include aircraft parts; engineering, modification and maintenance services; and digital aviation and analytics.
Among companies that reached agreements with Boeing was All Nippon Airways Co. Ltd., Japan's biggest airline, which signed a contract for 36 landing gear exchanges for the Boeing 787.
Malaysia Airlines ordered 48 landing gear exchanges for the Boeing Next-Generation 737, and Singapore Airlines Ltd. signed a deal to use an electronic logbook application.
"Predicted growth for aerospace services in the Asia Pacific brings opportunities to partner with local industry to understand the region's greatest needs, invest in new capabilities to meet those needs, and then bring them to market quickly," said Stan Deal, president and CEO of Boeing Global Services.
Deal also said Boeing Global Services may look into acquisitions to triple its annual revenue to $50 billion in as little as five years.
The 2018 Singapore Airshow runs from Feb. 6 to Feb. 11.
