Executive, director moves through March 16

S&P Global Market Intelligence presents a weekly rundown of recent board and executive changes in the metals and mining industry. The moves are listed in chronological order.

March 12

Acting CEO Myles Fang replaced Dahui Zhang as a director of Eastern Iron Ltd. after Zhang relocated to China.

Keras Resources PLC tapped nonexecutive director Russell Lamming to serve as CEO with immediate effect, while Dave Reeves' directorship changed from an executive to a nonexecutive role to allow him to focus on his role as managing director of Calidus Resources Ltd.

Leonid Charuckyj resigned from the Spectrum Rare Earths Ltd. board.

Jeff Poloni and Daniel Caamano resigned as directors of Cobalt Power Group Inc. and were replaced by Chris Healey and Glenda Kelly. Poloni will continue to serve as a consultant for the company.

Barbara Filas jointed Energy Fuels Inc. as a director with immediate effect, to fill a vacancy left in 2017.

Carube Copper Corp. appointed Tony Houston the interim CEO and president, replacing Jeff Ackert. Tony Manini is taking over as chairman.

March 13

Lonmin PLC director Len Konar is retiring as a nonexecutive director of the company from March 14 to pursue another opportunity.

Terry Streeter was appointed chairman of Alto Metals Ltd., as the company's founding chairman, Jingbin Wang, is moving to a nonexecutive role.

West Wits Mining Ltd. promoted Andrew Tunks to executive director to oversee the company's exploration efforts.

Peter Ball joined the Blue Moon Zinc Corp. board as a director.

Jason Leikam was appointed to the board of directors of Letho Resources Corp.

Alexander Helmel joined Max Resource Corp. as CFO to replace Mark Gelmon, who resigned as CFO to focus on other business commitments.

March 14

OceanaGold Corp. appointed Nora Scheinkestel to its board as a nonexecutive director, effective April 1.

Denis Clarke joined the Dart Mining NL board as an independent nonexecutive director, with immediate effect.

Patrick Cruickshank resigned as CEO of Chilean Metals Inc., effective Feb. 28, to focus on other projects. Terry Lynch, the company's chairman, will replace Cruickshank as CEO, with Cruickshank to remain on the board until the next annual general meeting.

Roderick Lyle and John Mansanti joined the Crystal Peak Minerals Inc. board following the resignations of Aaron Hood, Theodore Botts, Thomas Pladsen and John Mulhall. Mansanti is also CEO and president of the company.

Alianza Minerals Ltd. shareholders elected Mark Brown, Jason Weber, Craig Lindsay, Marc Blythe and John Wilson as directors of the company.

Nick DeMare was appointed CEO of Rochester Resources Ltd. after having served as a director and chairman of the company since 2007. Outgoing CEO Eduardo Luna will remain as a director and take over the chairman role from DeMare.

Thomas Dyakowski and Kenneth Phillippe resigned as directors of Essex Minerals Inc. and were replaced by Cameron Paddock and Danilen Villaneuva. Phillippe will remain the company's CFO.

March 15

Gateway Mining Ltd. tapped Australian mining executive Peter Langworthy to serve as managing director, with immediate effect. Langworthy replaces Andrew Bray as managing director. Bray will remain with the company as a consultant.

Citing personal reasons, Aris Stamoulis resigned as a director of Hastings Technology Metals Ltd.

Erdene Resource Development Corp. announced the appointment of Cameron McRae as a nonexecutive independent director.

March 16

Grant Thomas joined Kazakhstan Potash Corp. Ltd. as chief technical officer and an executive director, and Wang Baolin and Junmei Zhang stepped down as directors of the company.

Sean Waller resigned as president of Candente Copper Corp., effective March 7, and will remain on the company's board. Joanne Freeze, CEO and a director of the company, will replace Waller as president.

Silver Grail Resources Ltd. appointed Barry Holmes to its board of directors.
