SBI Securities gets sales license for Singapore institutional investors

SBI Securities Co. Ltd. obtained a license to sell securities to institutional investors in Singapore, The Nikkei reported Oct. 1.

The move makes Singapore the brokerage's second overseas sales base after Hong Kong. The company plans to increase sales and trading staff in the city-state.

The SBI Holdings Inc. brokerage unit also intends to launch sales operations in the U.S. and Europe from 2020.
