Silla SG Q3 loss widens YOY

Silla SG Co. Ltd. said its third-quarter normalized net income came to a loss of 68.24 South Korean won per share, compared with a loss of 30.26 won per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of 273.0 million won, compared with a loss of 121.6 million won in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin declined to negative 1.6% from negative 0.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue declined 13.4% on an annual basis to 17.47 billion won from 20.18 billion won, and total operating expenses fell 11.9% from the prior-year period to 17.72 billion won from 20.12 billion won.

Reported net income totaled a loss of 442.7 million won, or a loss of 110.68 won per share, compared to a loss of 200.9 million won, or a loss of 50.00 won per share, in the year-earlier period.

As of Nov. 16, US$1 was equivalent to 1,172.80 South Korean won.
