Canadian Platinum to rebrand as Aurex Energy

Canadian Platinum Corp. said Jan. 16 that it will change its name to Aurex Energy Corp.

The company expects to use its new trading symbol AURX upon TSX Venture Exchange approval of its proposed acquisition of a private company that owns natural gas reserves in the Barnett Shale in Texas.

Canadian Platinum has mineral properties in Saskatchewan, namely the Peter Lake and Craig Lake platinum projects and the Brabant graphite project. It also holds a 50% option on the Whiskey Flat copper project in Nevada.
