VINCI SA's consolidated revenue for the first quarter rose year over year to €8.85 billion, an increase of 4.9%.
Operations in France generated €5.22 billion of revenue, up by 3.8% from the same quarter last year. Concessions revenue for the quarter came in at €1.54 billion, up by 6.1% year over year from €1.45 billion on strong passenger growth.
The French concessions and construction company reported contracting revenue of €7.24 billion, up by 4.9% compared to the prior-year quarter's €6.90 billion.
VINCI's order book showed a 5% rise to €31.80 billion from €30.20 billion recorded in the same period last year.
The company said it expects further growth in revenue, operating income and net income for fiscal 2018 even after bad weather conditions in Europe during the first quarter.
