Daimler AG-owned Mercedes-Benz is recalling 44,900 vehicles in China due to a tire problem, Xinhua News Agency reported June 1, citing filings from Mercedes-Benz (China) Automotive Sales Co. and Beijing Benz Automotive Co. filing with China's market regulator.
The recall, which will begin Oct. 25, includes imported and parts of domestically produced cars manufactured between April 20, 2016, and May 4, 2019, the report said.
The defective tires may bulge while driving due to external forces, causing safety risks, according to the newswire.
