Wakefield, Mass.-based Savings Bank names chairman, vice chairman

Wakefield, Mass.-based Savings Bank appointed Michael Barrett and Mark Simeola chairman and vice chairman, respectively, according to wakefield.wickedlocal.com.

Barrett, who was named chairman after the retirement of former chairman and director John Spinello, was previously the vice chairman. Barrett also serves as chairman of Savings Bank subsidiary First Financial Trust NA.

Barrett and Simeola were first elected corporators of the bank in 1998 and as directors in 2007.

Barrett is a partner in the firm of Christopher J. Barrett Realtors, while Simeola has been associated with the law firm of Simeola and Simeola PC since 1989.

Savings Bank is a unit of Wakefield Bancorp Inc., which, in turn, is a unit of Wakefield Bancorp MHC.
