Australian baby food producer Rafferty's Garden Pty. Ltd. has issued a recall of an item sold at Wesfarmers Ltd.-owned Coles and Woolworths Group Ltd.'s Big W due to incorrect packaging information and the presence of an undeclared allergen.
Rafferty's Organic Banana Porridge was mistakenly put into Baby Rice Cereal packaging and may cause a reaction for consumers with a gluten allergy or intolerance, according to an Aug. 6 notice from the New South Wales Food Authority.
The recall affects 80-gram foil sachets of the product that are in a cardboard box with a best-before date of May 17, 2019, and were sold at Coles, Big W and some pharmacies in Australia.
Customers are being urged to return the items to their place of purchase for a full refund.
The NSW Food Authority added that no other Rafferty's Garden products or batches are affected by the recall.
