Assured Guaranty unit backs £124M bond issuance

Assured Guaranty (Europe) PLC has guaranteed principal and interest payments on £124 million of bonds issued by Freemens Common Village LLP.

The bonds will finance a total of 1,164 new bedspaces for University of Leicester students, a car park and new teaching facilities.

The Assured Guaranty Ltd. unit was advised on the transaction by Ashurst as legal adviser, MAMG as technical adviser, CBRE as demand adviser and Marsh as insurance adviser. Lloyds acted as the sole bond manager.
