Chlitina Holding profit misses consensus by 15.8% in Q2

Chlitina Holding Ltd. said its normalized net income for the second quarter was NT$2.24 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of NT$2.67 per share.

EPS rose 21.3% year over year from NT$1.85.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$178.6 million, an increase of 21.4% from NT$147.2 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 18.0% from 20.7% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 39.3% on an annual basis to NT$991.8 million from NT$711.9 million, and total operating expenses climbed 34.6% from the prior-year period to NT$712.5 million from NT$529.2 million.

Reported net income grew 34.9% year over year to NT$237.2 million, or NT$2.98 per share, from NT$175.8 million, or NT$2.21 per share.
