Getty Realty gets shareholder nod to increase authorized shares

Getty Realty Corp. shareholders approved a charter amendment proposal to increase the number of its authorized shares to 120.0 million from 70.0 million at its May 8 annual meeting.

The single-tenant net-lease real estate investment trust's authorized common shares have now been increased to 100.0 million from 60.0 million, while its authorized preferred shares have been increased to 20.0 million from 10.0 million.

Of all the votes cast at the meeting, 25,712,182 votes were in favor of the proposal, 7,269,001 were against it, 193,923 were abstentions and 4,778,845 were broker nonvotes.
