Hokkaido Coca-Cola Bottling Q3 profit falls YOY

Hokkaido Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Ltd. said its third-quarter normalized net income came to ¥12.22 per share, a decrease of 35.0% from ¥18.80 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥446.3 million, a decline of 35.0% from ¥686.9 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 2.7% from 3.7% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased 10.0% year over year to ¥16.53 billion from ¥18.37 billion, and total operating expenses decreased 8.4% from the prior-year period to ¥15.83 billion from ¥17.29 billion.

Reported net income decreased 18.2% year over year to ¥543.0 million, or ¥14.86 per share, from ¥664.0 million, or ¥18.18 per share.

As of Nov. 12, US$1 was equivalent to ¥122.92.
