Report: Brazil central bank chief to act as adviser ahead of confirmation

Banco Santander (Brasil) SA executive Roberto Campos Neto will serve as an adviser to Brazil's new economy minister while his nomination to become the country's next central bank chief is pending confirmation, Valor Econômico reported.

Campos Neto, who was tapped to lead Banco Central do Brasil after Jair Bolsonaro won Brazil's presidential election, will temporarily advise Paulo Guedes until he takes over the central bank role, the newspaper cited anonymous sources as saying.

Brazil's senate is expected to confirm Campos Neto's central bank appointment in February or March, Valor said.
