Legal & General acquires UK office building for £243M

Legal & General Group PLC, on behalf of Legal & General Retirement, paid £243 million to acquire the Quarry House office building in Leeds, U.K., from R20.

The 373,913-square-foot property is leased to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government for 25 years on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions.

Jones Lang LaSalle and Clifford Chance were Legal & General's advisers on the transaction.
