PE firms TA Associates, Charlesbank agree to invest in HelpSystems

Middle-market private equity firms TA Associates Management LP and Charlesbank Capital Partners LLC agreed to provide financing to HelpSystems LLC.

The firms will join existing investors HGGC, management and employees.

TA Associates' managing director, Harry Taylor and senior vice president, Michael Libert will join the board of HelpSystems along with Charlesbank's managing director Hiren Mankodi.

The transaction, financial details of which were not disclosed, is expected to close in November, pending customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.

HelpSystems is a provider of systems and network management, business intelligence, and security and compliance solutions.

Kirkland & Ellis provided legal counsel to HelpSystems and HGGC, while Goodwin Procter was the legal counsel to TA Associates. Ropes & Gray acted as an adviser to Charlesbank.
