Finland's Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment has approved Telenor ASA's proposal to acquire a 54.1% stake in DNA Oyj for €1.5 billion.
Telenor expects to complete the share transaction in August. Following the deal completion, Telenor will launch a mandatory public tender offer for all the remaining outstanding shares in DNA.
The Finnish government's approval comes after the European Commission granted regulatory clearance to the deal.
