21Lady fiscal Q4 loss widens 25.0% YOY

21Lady Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 was a loss of ¥4.00 per share, compared with a loss of ¥3.84 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥18.8 million, compared with a loss of ¥15.0 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin fell to negative 2.6% from negative 2.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew year over year to ¥719.0 million from ¥707.0 million, and total operating expenses rose year over year to ¥746.0 million from ¥729.0 million.

Reported net income totaled a loss of ¥1.0 million, or a loss of 21 sen per share, compared to a loss of ¥31.0 million, or a loss of ¥7.94 per share, in the prior-year period.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled a loss of ¥13.18 per share, compared with a loss of ¥6.73 per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was a loss of ¥58.8 million, compared with a loss of ¥26.3 million in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue fell 5.6% on an annual basis to ¥2.90 billion from ¥3.07 billion, and total operating expenses decreased year over year to ¥2.98 billion from ¥3.10 billion.

The company said reported net income totaled a loss of ¥74.0 million, or a loss of ¥16.60 per share, in the full year, compared with a loss of ¥58.0 million, or a loss of ¥14.88 per share, the prior year.
